The Provisional Government

The Provisional Government is Gapla’s interim government prior to settlement.

A Dedicated Government

The Provisional Government, formally known as the Council of Ministers, serves as the governing body of Gapla during its pre-settlement phase, steering the nation toward its vision of becoming an innovative new country.

As it would not be practical nor feasible to have a full government prior to settlement, the Provisional Government holds exclusive executive, judicial, and legislative authority over Gapla. It manages the nation’s day-to-day affairs and strategizes for its future development, including plans for settlement.

Members are selected based on applications submitted by dedicated Gaplan citizens. These members, referred to as ministers or provisional governors, often simultaneously hold ministerial portfolios, contributing to the planning and management of specific aspects of Gapla’s current governance and future goals.
